Associating love as a feeling of affection towards another individual is just as common as it is. Though others may also think that love is just a waste of time; a burden. But if you ask me, love’s not just that. We’re so often fixated on the goodness of others, that we may even fall for, it is seldom we remember to show love towards ourselves. We end up spending more time searching for good traits on others than delving deeper onto ourselves to find traits worth valuing. Self cruelty became an invention of that; convincing ourselves that our lives are broken with nothing left to love. Being “as cold as an ice” is no such thing, rather I strongly believe that love exists within everyone. It may be hidden far below, but keep on digging and you will find it. Where there is cruelty, there will always be love. Choose love.
